1991 Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 EVO 2 - Macau #11 (AUTOart) 1/18
EASY ORDER INFO HERE The Macau Grand Prix, a 6.2 Km (3.8 miles) street circuit combining long, fast stretches with sharply twisting corners, is recognized as one of the most demanding races in the world. It has attracted many international drivers, including Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher and Mike Hakkinen, who have competed strongly to secure a win. A victory in Macau can guarantee the driver a career in racing and, in the case of exceptional talent, an immediate invitation to move up to Formula 1, the pinnacle of motor racing. In 1991 Zung Fu Company Ltd, the exclusive retailer of Mercedes-Benz cars in Hong Kong and Macau, and Speedline, the marketing arm of AMG in Hong Kong, Sponsored the AMG racing team's participation in the Macau Guia Race. With Klaus Ludwig #9 and Kurt Thiim #11 driving DTM 190 E 2.5-16 EVO-IIs, it was the first DTM 190 E 2.5-16 time that the top factory team in this vehicle category had competed alongside Group A cars such as the mighty twin-turbo Nissan Skyline GTR. The race was won by Emanuele Pirro in a DTM BMW M3 but Kurt Thiim took second place and Klaus Ludwig finished third. Mercedes had set the fastest lap time for a saloon car in the history of the Macau Guia race. The Mercedes-Benz DTM 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II weights 1,000 kilos with an engine capacity of 2.5 liters producing 310 bhp. The car can reach to a top speed of 280 kmh.
