Multi-carbed engines made Pontiac GTOs popular from the start, but for 1967 they were discontinued as General Motors shifted it's advertising away from racing, or "aggressive driving." The GTO easily adapted to this corporate edict; its standard engine became the 400 cid, with a couple of higher powered versions available. Exterior refinements for the '67 included the rear end, which held four lights on each side, as well as the introduction of Rally II wheels. The muscle car movement was about to reach maximum appeal and the 1967 GTO brought the brawn with the best of them!
