1971 Plymouth GTX 440 - Yellow (Ertl) 1/18
EASY ORDER INFO HERE Plymouth introduced its GTX in late 1966. It was among the charter members when Plymouth announced its powerful and prestigious Rapid Transit System of performance cars in 1970. The 1971 model served as the executive branch of the Rapid Transit System, and executive power was provided by the standard 440 cid. four-barrel engine cranking out 370 horsepower. When government-mandated emission controls began to harness the high-horsepower heavyweights, it signaled the beginning of the end for these legendary performance machines, and 1971 marked the last year for the GTX.
Never mind the formalities, this 1:18 scale American Muscle replica – dressed in Formal Black – is a real showstopper! This much-requested tool shows off an opening Air Grabber hood complete with opening “grabber,” and you can lift the hood to feast your 440 powerplant. The shadowy black interior features folding front bucket seats, and a plated pistol-grip automatic shifter on the center console, which is also accented with simulated woodgrain, as are the doors and dash. Plated twin exhaust tips peer out from the back of the replica. Officially licensed by the DaimlerChrysler Corporation. Ertl Diecast Model No. 36673 |
