1967 Dodge Coronet R/T 426 Hemi - Medium Turquoise (Highway 61) 1/18
EASY ORDER INFO HERE "It speaks softly, but carries a big kick!"
The Coronet R/T was part of the “Dodge Rebellion” in 1967 magazine advertisements. The R/T (which stood for Road & Track) was the high- performance version of the relatively tame Dodge Coronet model. Available with the venerable 426 Hemi rated at 425 horsepower, or 375 h.p. 440 Magnum featuring a long-duration cam, chrome engine dress-up parts and low-restriction dual exhaust, this was no family car. Although 1967 was the first year for the R/T model, sadly it was the last year for the two- door hardtop body style. 9,553 hardtops were made that year, along with 628 convertibles. Even today, the design is revered by muscle car enthusiasts for clean lines and classic 60’s muscle car looks. The Coronet R/T package consisted of heavy duty front and rear suspension, front anti-sway bar, three-inch wide heavy-duty drum brakes with optional front disc brakes. Add heavy-duty shocks and 7.75 X 14 Red Streak tires and you had a combination that rode as good as it looked. With R/T-badged front grille (resembling the popular Dodge Charger with exposed headlights), non-functional air intakes on the rear quarters and hood, and special R/T tail light board, it certainly looked good too!
