They called him "Akron" Arlen Vanke, the native of Onekama, Michigan, who was introduced into the Superstock Legends Hall of Fame in Columbus, Ohio on 1997. Arlen joined the Mopar Team in 1963 and went on to drive this Hemi-powered Plymouth Barracuda to wins at the '68 Nationals at Phoenix and Super Stock B Championships at Pomona, Californnia. The 'Cuda ran in the 10.20's at 138 MPH. According to Arlen, "the Cuda was dominant in the B Class races." This car led to several 1st Place NHRA finishes.
