1937 Lincoln Zephyr - Dark Blue (Ertl Precision 100) 1/18
EASY ORDER INFO HERE Public reaction to the Lincoln’s 1936 introduction of its Zephyr was extremely favorable, as it doubled its popularity in 1937. The design featured teardrop taillights, fender skirts, grille emblem and overall form, and its sloping rear deck, grille with horizontal bars, and headlights molded into the front fender represented “streamlining” at its finest. The ’37 instrument panel was redesigned, and featured twin glove compartments bracketing a center console holding the gauges and instruments. The standard engine was a 267 cid. V-12.
This stunning 1:18 scale die-cast artfully replicates the graceful lines and contours of the full-scale vehicle. It is meticulously hand-assembled from more than 180 parts, and includes a number of action features for showing off the smallest of details. You can open the hood to gaze at the accurately plumbed replica engine, as well as the realistic hood hinges and dual horns. The cowl vent in front of the windshield also opens. When opening the doors to the tan interior, take a moment to turn the plated door and window handles, and open the vent window! Flocking on the floor simulates carpeting, and the seats are soft to your touch when you flip the seatbacks forward. Both glove boxes open – the driver’s side after pulling up on the steering wheel. You can access the trunk by folding down the luggage rack, and the spare tire bracket folds outward, another styling revision for ’37. The trunk also includes a tool pouch with tools, and the fender skirts are removable. Officially licensed by the Ford Motor Company. Ertl Diecast No. 32890 - Limited Edition of 2,500 Diecast Pieces |
