1976 Ford Gran Torino Chrome Chase Car 'Starsky and Hutch' (Ertl) 1/18
EASY ORDER INFO HERE It roared through the alley and out onto the main street, spinning completely to pin a perpetrator's car against the curb - it was the four-wheeled, 400 cubic-inch co-star of "Starsky & Hutch" - a popular mid-'70s TV cop show. What began as a stock Gran Torino was fitted with mags, oversized tires, air shocks and hijackers on the rear end, and was finally painted tomato red with a wild white stripe.
Characters David Starsky and Kenneth Hutchinson used Starsky's '76 Torino - and used it hard - to keep the city streets safe, and the car became so popular that Ford later produced limited edition "Starsky & Hutch" Gran Torinos. This 1:18 scale American Muscle die-cast replicates the TV version of the Gran Torino, as there were minor differences in styling between it and the limited edition production vehicles. Special interior touches include the replica police radio and portable roof-mounted bulb with flexible cable. The front seatbacks fold forward and the hood opens. Officially licensed by the Ford Motor Company. Ertl Diecast No. 33151 - Entertainment Series |
