When Chrysler abandoned the 300 model's Hemi in 1959, its performance image suffered and the loss of the Hemi created a real
vacuum. In 1960 the vacuum was filled by providing the 300-F "Letter Car" with a ram-inducted 413 cid V8 engine. Hardware
included a hot cam, heavy-duty valve springs, low-back-pressure exhaust system, dual-point distributor, low-restriction air cleaner,
special plugs and dual quad carbs. About 15 short ram cars were built, an option that was really intended only for the
Daytona-bound models.
