1971 Jaguar E-Type Series III - Green (YatMing) 1/18
EASY ORDER INFO HERE Some say the Jaguar E-Type is the most exciting car ever made. If you consider that in its' day, it was extremely fast, had killer styling, advanced technology and the price was reasonable compared to other exotics. Development of the car that was to become the E-Type actually started as a race car program. This contributed to the development of the independent rear suspension. Introduced in March 1961 in Geneva, Switzerland, the reaction was favorable and enthusiastic. The sensuous styling shape and list of mechanical features was for then stunning. Those included double overhead cam engine, and four wheel disc brakes (inboard like race cars in the rear) The price was nothing in comparison to Aston Martin or Ferrari at 5,595, but more expensive than the Corvette. Many people cling to the name of the car as 'XKE' and that is correct enough because it was also used by Jaguar in their sales efforts.
